Most people tend to associate this time of year with the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, seasonal baking, and all types of decorating. It is for all of these reasons that the area of real estate often experiences a lull. When in fact, this is the best time to take advantage of the market.

The holiday season is a perfect time to set yourself up for success for the New Year. Real estate volumes are lower around the holidays and that is why it is a good time to check out all of the great deals that are available and invest in them. Investing in a piece of real estate or two during this time is the best way to get a jump on your business plan.

Sales are also slower during this time of year for real estate. Again, this is yet another reason why buying at this time of year a great way to increase your positive cash flow. Most people are caught up in the holiday rush and seasonal spending which causes them to focus less attention on the buying of homes and properties.

This is actually the best time to buy. The holidays are also a good time to connect or re-connect with former or past business acquaintances and associates. Sending a holiday card wishing season's greetings or a newsletter that re-caps the year is a sure fire way to grab the attention of other individuals working in the business of real estate.

Some may find it impractical to send out the standard and typical calendars for the New Year promoting their business. This is actually a great way to market yourself in the community. Not only is business information attached and often times an actual photograph which will make a realtor, broker, etc. more noticeable in their respective communities, but there is also the element of giving which everyone is a fan of. Most people actually do put those calendars up and use them throughout the year. Why not send them out and have your business advertised on the refrigerator doors of many households throughout the neighborhood or city.

Hosting and also attending holiday parties is another way to connect with other real estate professionals. Even though most people would agree that you do not need an excuse or a special occasion, either hosting or attending a holiday party or event is an excellent way of networking both on a social and professional level. Taking part in such festive celebrations is an excellent way of both meeting new people and reacquainting with former or past customers and business associates.

Celebrating during the holidays does not have to be limited to family gathering and holiday parties. It is also a time to celebrate your success, make plans for the New Year, and tackle your goals of achieving financial freedom.

Jeff: I'd really be interested in learning more about you and your experience. I'd also like to share your feelings about the re market in the US and how I can participate online. Then, what is your take on the Robert G. Allen phase of life? Just your opinion, Jeff.
